Find Peace

Where does peace come from?

Have you ever considered how fragile our lives are? An illness may appear and completely change our plans and our family’s future. All our efforts to protect ourselves and our loved ones are not enough to calm our fears.

Now is the time to reflect and ask important questions, like: “Where do I find my true peace? Is there a power bigger than myself?”

Jesus wants to be with you

There is someone who can be your comforter no matter what the situation is, and His name is Jesus.

In our broken world, there is pain and suffering, but God didn’t leave us without hope. He sent His Son, Jesus, to come and live a perfect life and die on a cross in our place. He rose from the dead three days later and is now in Heaven with God. And Jesus offers you the free gift of salvation and forgiveness for you and your family for the wrong things we have all done. You can accept this gift by admitting your need for forgiveness. If you believe that He died for you and that He rose from the dead, you can put your trust in Him and follow Him as your Lord.

The comfort and peace that Jesus offers isn’t about saving us from difficult times. His promise is that we and our family can have peace and eternal life regardless of the challenges in our lives.

HIS PROMISES ARE GOOD

If you believe in Jesus, He promises He is with you always and can be your security and peace. Knowing He is in control and that He is good reassures us that he can protect us and our family because he is Lord over all. And you don’t have to fear death anymore because you know you will be with Him for eternity. How does Jesus help you if you are afraid?

The Bible says, “do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and asking with thanksgiving tell your requests to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

Here's how to start trusting Him

If you want to give authority to God so you don’t have to carry your fear, anxiety or worry, you can start by praying something like this:

PRAY NOW

"Lord Jesus,
I need you in my life. Without you,
I am not sure where to go. With you,
I have a good Father to trust with my life,
right now and eternally. I admit that I do
things that are wrong and need your forgiveness.
Would you forgive my sins? I want to live
for you. In Jesus' name, Amen."
